Head in the clouds, foot in the door. Registrations are now open for SOYA, the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards.

Talented Australians aged 30 and under looking to break into fashion, film, visual arts, visual communications, music, industrial and object design and photography are invited to submit their work.

Category winners will receive $5000 in cash and $5000 in Qantas flights, as well as a rare 12-month mentorship with leading lights of the international creative community.

2010 SOYA mentors include Marc Newson (Design), Nicky and Simone Zimmerman (Fashion), Jan Chapman (Film), Tony Mott (Photography), Lee Groves (Music), Elixabeth Ann MacGregor (Visual Arts) and Deanne Cheuk (Visual Communication).

As success stories in their respective fields, these industry leaders know that getting a break and having the right doors opened can launch a creative career.

SOYA is open for submissions until August 9th via www.soya.com.au.
The winners will be announced at a spectacular awards night held on November 11 at the Foundation Hall of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
